Sam Alibrando

Sam Alibrando, Ph.D. is president of APC, Inc. his own consulting firm that works with organizations and senior executives coping with critical business and change management challenges, interpersonal challenges and transitions. He also facilitates targeted workshops on leadership development and enhancing people-processes within organizations and teams, including How to Succeed with Difficult People.
Dr. Alibrando started his career nearly 30 years ago. His interest in leadership and organizational development lead him first to leadership positions he assumed himself. In the late 80's /early 90's he was Director of the Fuller Psychological & Family Services, a large university-affiliated training and services organization. He also served as President of the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association and liaison in government affairs to the California Psychological Association. A frequent and respected lecturer and seminar leader, Dr. Alibrando's seminal work on change processes is capped by his book, Follow the Yellow Brick Road: How to Change for the Better When Life Gives You Its Worst. Other articles written by Dr. Alibrando include topics such as executive coaching, organizational development and managing difficult people. He has worked with both large, mid-size and smaller firms on a range of assignments all focused on diminishing conflict, enhancing communication and accelerating sound decision-making, He also has solid experience in executive assessment & development, selection and coaching along with team building and organizational development.
Dr. Alibrando received his Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, and his doctorate from the Rosemead School of Psychology. He is an Associate Clinical Professor (and currently an Adjunct Professor) at Fuller's Graduate School of Psychology.
