Petra Eiko was born, raised and educated in Germany, where she worked for many years in the fields of architectural and fashion design. Currently a resident of Malibu, California, she has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. Fascinated by the differences and similarities in people, cultures and lifestyles around the world, she ultimately discovered that we all face the same fundamental problems and difficulties. That insight, coupled with her life long curiosity about the workings of the human mind, led her to spend many years reading a broad spectrum of philosophical, scientific and metaphysical texts, all in an attempt to find the answer to Why are we the way we are?
After pouring through complex, often intellectually challenging books, Eiko realized that the ideas they contained could be distilled into simple truths, easily accessible to those of us living in today's fast paced world.
