Alyce Rohrer

Alyce Stevens Rohrer's childhood home was in Cedar City, Utah. An interest in aviation had led to a private pilot license. When the World War II program for women pilots was announced, she was accepted and served as a WASP –Women Airforce Service Pilot.

When the war ended, Alyce married James S. Rohrer and returned to college, earning a B. A. and Life General Secondary. When her husband, a test pilot, was requested by Mitsubishi to set up their new F-86 Flight Line, the family moved to Japan where she taught English grammar and composition at Nanzan University in Nagoya. Returning home, she taught English at Arroyo High School in El Monte California and remained there until retirement.
